Required knowledge/ experience:
- Knowledge on Windows operating systems;
- Knowledge on networking and server-client systems;
- Knowledge on database servers (Oracle, SQL);
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access);
- Experience with Autocad and/or similar CAD Software;
- Acquaintance with Itil and Project Management Methodologies;
- Experience with mechanical engineering.
Function description:
- Setting up, maintaining and facilitating the ICT infrastructure for the project, primarily on location, based on the basic layout described in the project ICT plan. Within the boundaries of the plan, propose and implement new ideas or concepts that wil be beneficial for the organization.
- Manage and keep records of the hardware and software being used, including the applicable licences.
- Installing, maintaining and implementing the required hardware and software.
Propose any software or hardware to be purchased in function of efficient execution of the project and after approval, assist Purchasing Dept. with the acquisition.
- Solves all problems related to ICT, assisted by the suppliers where necessary, and keeps a database of these problems and their solutions.
- Assists and instructs users on the use of the hardware and software, where required.
- Ensures that software used is consisted and that network and ICT systems are secure and protected against intrusion.
- Monitors and reports any abuse of the system and ensures that users are using the system in accordance with the applicable regulations and policies.
