Opdrachtomschrijving:
The Category Manager is directly accountable for managing the Marketing and Communications spend of ABN AMRO on the external goods and services, at true market conditions and optimal Price/Quality ratio. He delivers complex sourcing projects and is accountable for the strategic category planning process and the development of category plans. Work has a global scope. key results are delivering sustainable savings that align with the business plans and strategies. He will need to challenge requirements, find the right supplier and negotiate the best possible terms for the bank. Key to that is strong cooperation with stakeholder with whom he will manage your buying or project team, and demonstrating leadership while carrying out his work with transparancy, integrity and perfect communication.
Functie-eisen:
- 6 years working experience in procurement, and/or preferrably specific working experience in Marketing and Communications, eg Advertising, Media, Marketing Research, Sponsoring and Events
- 3 year working experience in a complex, multi cultural and international environment
“- University degree in business economics or area relevant to the Category or HBO with assessed academic competencies
- Thorough understanding and familiarity with leading edge procurement tools, techniques and systems
- Deep Category expertise: Company wide knowledge and insight of business trends, requirements, volumes, budgets, stakeholders, demand management channels and systems, across BU’s and countries.
